My first long haul flight from the Philippines to Chicago, IL was in October 2008. It was my first time applying for a US tourist visa and thankfully I got approved! It was a 24 hour flight to the other side of the world, where my sister is currently living and working.
I stayed for 1 month initially. Went home, and went back stayed for 5 months, now with my mom. My first time to experience Christmas and New Year (in New York).
